Pair of covered vase by the Sitzendorf Factory, Germany, late 19th century; 17"H. Vases have applied flowers, cupids and open work handles. Both are in very nice condition without noticeable defects. Sitzendorf factory was established in 1850 and after many changes in ownership it ceased operation in 2012. Vases were purchased in 1993 at Harlowe Powell Auction, Charlottesville from the estate of Virginia Moore, Scottsville, VA at her home Cliffside. Both vases are unmarked.
