Oil on oak panel of "Girl Reading" after J.E. Millais.  Oil on wood panel of young girl reading at a desk.  Framed in wood gilt frame, the sight size is 9.25"W x 13.25"H. Frame size is 15"W x 19"H. Conservation report is available to buyer (from Richmond Conservation Studio, 10/2022). According to the report, the painting has been restored at least twice, possibly more. Older overpaint can be seen on the front of the sitter‟s shawl. Overpaint has been used to reinforce the hair and shape of the head. The edges of the figure and some parts of the dress and table have been reinforced as well. The panel is in good condition and shows no signs of warping.
